This chair is a direct descendant of one of the earliest Tappan Chair models, dating back to the mid 1800’s. Long a favorite for its elegant symmetry and durable build, it has throughout its history featured three rungs below the seat–a rarity in American chair manufacture. Shown in cherry with birdseye maple slats and an olive checkerboard seat.
Our chairs are available in any of the woods, seating colors, and weaves shown at no additional charge. You may specify your preferences in the space provided at checkout, or we will be in touch to help you with your selection. We also gladly accommodate custom sizing by special request.
